The Club was established primarily for the benefit of serving and retired members of the South African Police Service. In order to enjoy the social and recreational facilities at the Resorts, a member must be a bona fide contributing member to the Club. The monthly/annual membership fee shall be revised every two (2) years at an Annual General Meeting.
The Club is a private Club, catering for individual members and their immediate family. In view of this exclusivity, no group bookings will be allowed. Members desiring accommodation for larger groups birthday parties, family reunions, etc.) are requested to approach other commercial facilities.
Each member can book one unit for a maximum of two weeks per annum during peak season, and unlimited weeks (not units) during off peak season, subject to availability. This implies that a member cannot book more than one unit at a time, unless a single unit is not sufficient to accommodate the member’s immediate family. In such instances, the member will be permitted to book one additional unit, irrespective of the size of the unit, subject to availability. Immediate family shall include the member’s spouse, their children, the member’s parents and the spouse’s parents.
All school holidays are considered peak season and the resorts’ policy is to only allow a full 7 day booking during peak season. As this directive is out of your Club’s control, the Club therefore cannot allow weekend bookings or any other split bookings during the school holidays.
The Club is a non-profit organisation, hence the affordable accommodation fees that are exclusively offered to our members. Your booking therefore may not be offered for sale or rental, and any contravention of this will result in the cancellation of the booking and the termination of youR membership to the Club, including the opening of criminal charges.
The bona fide Club member shall personally make all bookings and the member must accompany the immediate family on holiday. The spouse or other family member may not make a booking on behalf of the member. The guest certificate is non-transferable and specifies the number of people occupying the unit, including children of all ages, and this must be adhered to. No overcrowding will be permitted, and members checking in and leaving thereafter is not acceptable.
The Resort may refuse entry to a member who: - arrives without a guest certificate, - is not in possession of a valid South African ID, - arrives with more than the stipulated number of guests in their party, - contravenes the Resort’s Policy for any other reason.
The Club will not be held responsible for any action that may be taken by the Resort, or any expenses that may be incurred by the member or the Resort itself.
The Resort’s policy regarding conduct and behaviour must always be adhered to, and any unbecoming/unruly or unacceptable behaviour on the part of members or their family may result in the Resort evicting the member and his family, and also prohibiting future entry to the Resort as per the Resort’s policy. This may also result in possible suspension/termination of the member’s membership to the Club.
A member who requests accommodation for a certain number of guests will be allocated a unit that consists of a certain number of bedrooms to accommodate all his / her guests. The allocation of the type of unit or its features are at the discretion of the Resort. Members should please contact the resort prior to arrival regarding its location, facilities, activities, parking, breakage deposit, etc.
Members who make any bookings (excluding Specials) shall make full payment within 30 days from date of booking, unless otherwise arranged. All other bookings that may be offered as Specials/Bonus Breaks shall be paid in full strictly within 30 days from date of booking. This accommodation fee is subsequently deposited into the account of the Resort in order to confirm the booking.
All cancellations for local holidays must be in writing at least 21 days prior to occupation. A booking may only be cancelled on a shorter notice period as a result of an instruction from the National Commissioner or other delegated commander to the effect that the vacation leave of a member has been cancelled. In view of the accommodation fee being held by the Resort, the Club will not be in a position to offer a refund. Members will be offered a credit for their cancelled booking, and they are urged to use this credit for a future booking.
